House Opening: your closed house, checked before you arrive

You are about to land with children and luggage in a house that has been shut for a year. House Opening sends someone ahead of you to open it, air it and show you every room, so there are no surprises at the door.
$59 per visit. Pay by card before the visit. Full refund if we cannot complete it. Our team goes, never an agent on commission.
Who it is for
House Opening is for families visiting Pakistan for a summer, a wedding or a funeral, who are staying in their own closed house. The water may be off, the roof may leak, something may have moved in. It is better to know before the flight than at midnight on arrival.
You arrange the keys, usually with a relative or a caretaker who hands them over or meets us there. This is the one service where we go inside, and only with the access you give us, to your own property.
We cover the whole Faisalabad district and the city limits of Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
What we photograph
- The house from the street, and the main door and lock before it is opened
- Every room, from the doorway
- The kitchen and bathrooms, where the water runs
- What we did: windows opened, taps run, lights and fans tested
- Anything that looks wrong, such as damp or a leak, ceiling damage, termites, rodents, a broken window, no water, no power or signs that someone has been in, each with a photo
- The main door locked again as we leave
We open the house, air it and photograph every room before your family lands. Cleaning and repairs: we arrange them for you at cost, and you approve the quote first. We never force a door. If it is not safe to go in, we stop, and the report says why.
Price and what is included
One visit, the room by room photo set above and your report by email. Cleaning and repairs, if you want them, are arranged at cost on top: a local quote first, your approval, then before and after photos.
How it works
- Send your request with the city, the area and the plot or house number.
- We email you to confirm the date and the price. Prices are fixed in US dollars and nothing is charged yet.
- You then pay by card before the visit, through a secure payment link we email you. We never see or store your card details. Nothing is charged automatically.
- A named person from our team opens the house with the keys you arranged, goes through it room by room and locks it again.
- Your report arrives by email, with every photo dated and placed.
If we cannot complete your visit, you get all your money back.

Who gives you the key?
You arrange that, usually through a relative or caretaker who hands the keys over or meets us at the house. We only go in with access you have given.
Do you clean the house?
We arrange it. A local cleaner quotes first, you approve the quote, and you get before and after photos. The cleaning is charged at cost, plus our Repairs and Cleaning fee. We open, air, check and photograph the house ourselves.
How far ahead should I ask?
As soon as you know your dates. We agree the visit date with you by email and do not promise a turnaround.
